Hand injuries are among the most common injuries on industrial sites, and the right glove depends on the hazard. Conduire supplies safety gloves for oil and gas, drilling, construction, fabrication and maintenance work across Qatar, including SCUDO and VAULTEX ranges. The range covers cut-resistant gloves up to cut level E, impact gloves for rig and heavy-handling work, nitrile chemical gloves, coated general-purpose gloves and leather driving gloves. Tell us the task and we'll match the glove to the hazard.

Reading the EN 388 rating
Most mechanical safety gloves are tested to EN 388. The code printed on the glove, such as 4544E, reads left to right:
| Position | Test | Scale | Example (4544E) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Abrasion resistance | 0–4 | 4 |
| 2 | Cut (coupe test) | 0–5 | 5 |
| 3 | Tear resistance | 0–4 | 4 |
| 4 | Puncture resistance | 0–4 | 4 |
| 5 | Cut (ISO 13997 TDM test) | A–F | E |
| 6 (if shown) | Impact protection | P | — |
For sharp sheet metal, glass or blade work, look at the letter (A–F): C or higher for moderate cut risk, D–F for high risk. A P at the end means the back of the hand is tested for impact, which is key for rig floors and pipe handling.
Choosing by task
- Rig and drilling work, heavy handling: impact gloves such as Rig Master and Rig Flex.
- Sheet metal, glass, blades: cut-resistant gloves such as Cut Guard and Flexi Cut (4544E).
- Oils, fuels and chemicals: nitrile chemical gloves such as Pro Chem, tested to EN ISO 374.
- Assembly, maintenance, general handling: PU- or nitrile-coated gloves such as Poly Max and Fleximax.
- Driving and light handling: leather gloves such as VAULTEX GKR.
Frequently asked questions
What does cut level E mean?
It means the glove resists a high cutting force under the ISO 13997 test. It suits handling sharp metal and glass.
Do you supply gloves in bulk for projects?
Yes. We supply by the dozen, by the carton or on scheduled project deliveries.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Contact us with your requirement and we'll advise on samples for trials.
Which glove is best for oily conditions?
Nitrile micro-foam coated gloves give good grip on oily parts. For immersion in oil or chemicals, use a full nitrile chemical glove.
