Dust, fumes and fine particles are a daily hazard on construction, fabrication and industrial sites. Conduire supplies SCUDO disposable respirators in FFP2 and FFP3 protection classes for grinding, cutting, sanding, cement work and general dust. Valved masks keep breathing cooler and more comfortable during long shifts in Qatar's heat, and the carbon-layer mask also reduces nuisance odours. Tell us the task and contaminant, and we'll recommend the right protection level.

FFP classes explained (EN 149)
| Class | Minimum filtration | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| FFP1 | 80% | Low-level nuisance dust |
| FFP2 | 94% | Construction dust, cement, wood, grinding, most general industrial work |
| FFP3 | 99% | Fine or hazardous dust (silica, fine metal dust), higher-risk tasks |
The other markings on the mask:
- NR: non-reusable, one shift only.
- D: passed the dolomite clogging test, so it stays comfortable to breathe through in heavy dust.
- Valve: makes breathing out easier and reduces heat build-up inside the mask.
Important: disposable particle masks do not protect against gases such as H₂S, solvent vapours or low oxygen. Those hazards need gas-filter respirators or breathing apparatus. Contact us for your task.
Frequently asked questions
FFP2 or FFP3: which do I need?
FFP2 covers most construction and workshop dust. Use FFP3 for fine hazardous dust such as silica from concrete cutting, or where your risk assessment requires it.
Can I reuse a disposable mask?
No. Masks marked NR are for a single shift.
Does a mask work with a beard?
No. Facial hair stops the mask sealing to the face, so it won't give its rated protection.
Do you supply respirators for gas and chemical hazards?
Contact us with the hazard and we'll advise on the right respirator or breathing apparatus.
